Joshua Williams
|
Joshua Williams finds that through traditional methods of glazing, he is able to create a dramatic image using common everyday objects. With this method, he is able to draw the viewer into his paintings, creating a sense of space and dimension.
Drawing inspiration from Dutch and Spanish still life painters of the 17th century, Joshua uses traditional methods of painting. By adding a personal twist to them, he strives to bring an old, sometimes forgotten style of painting to the 21st century. 1990: Participation in the Young American Creative Art Program 1990: Palm Beach County Council of The Arts, Artist of the Month, June/July 1994: First place figure drawing, Palm Beach Community College Juried Show 1996: Acceptance into Artists' Association of Nantucket 2000: 2nd place juried show Danford Gallery, Portland Maine |
