About The Gallery 35 Main Street
The Gallery at 35 Main was opened in 2010 to be the new home for Kathleen Knight's diverse and extensive collections of American and European fine arts, historic documents, art books, sculpture, Tiffany studios glass and museum quality collectibles. The focus of this gallery is to educate the public and assist new to vintage collectors.
We offer consulting, restoration services, selling and buying all genres of art with selections that range from the affordable to unique high-end offerings.
Kathleen Knight, owner, has been a professional art dealer/collector since 1977. Her extensive career includes:
- building private and corporate collections
- providing artwork for special event show houses
- assisting museums in aquisitions
- cataloging artist estates
- deaccessing artwork for collectors
- advising and referrals for art restorers.
She established the Kathleen Knight Endowed Scholarship fund at The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, Cambridge, MA. The schalarship was established in memoy of friend and artist C. Robert Perrin to be awarded to a disadvantaged, disabled or minority fine arts student who has excelled in studio and academic work.
Knight is a provider of artist workshops and lectures by art scholars and historians. She also regularly contributes to art charities and community organizations.
